When a straight marker copy is the right tool
A direct copy works when the destination uses the same timing or when the editor intentionally wants the same positions. Examples include a duplicated sequence, a clean delivery timeline with unchanged program timing, or moving a selected note group into a tracking sequence.
It is faster and clearer than rebuilding each marker, and the system-clipboard copy provides a human-readable backup of the selected rows.
Copy once, use two destinations
Copy creates tab-separated marker data for ordinary apps and also retains the exact marker payload for MarkerBuddy. After switching to another active sequence, a Paste n Markers action becomes available.
There is one Copy command: use Paste inside MarkerBuddy to duplicate the markers, or paste into another app to use the tab-separated text.
Do not confuse copying with reconforming
A normal paste retains timing; it does not analyze edits between an old and new cut. If shots moved, material was inserted, or a source was retimed, use Smart Reconform to review source-aware matches.
After pasting, inspect the destination and use MarkerBuddy Undo if the wrong sequence was active or the timing assumption was incorrect.
Workflow
A practical four-step process

Select the source markers
Choose only the markers that belong in the destination sequence.

Copy
Create both a tab-separated system copy and MarkerBuddy’s reusable marker copy.

Activate the destination
Open and activate the sequence that should receive the markers.

Paste and verify
Use Paste n Markers, inspect the positions, and undo the batch if the sequence or timing was wrong.

Important limit
What this workflow does not assume
Paste copies marker timing; it does not solve a changed edit. Use Smart Reconform when insertions, deletions, trims, retimes, reversed clips, nests, or repeated shots affect placement.
